Nissan Qashqai+2 7 seater car is the top selling in the range of 7 seater cars on offer from manufacturer Nissan. As with many of this type of vehicle, the back row is compact and not suitable for prolonged journeys. It is generally useful for small children due to the lack of legroom; furthermore, with the way the roof slopes toward the back, there is virtually no headroom. The middle and front rows are spacious and the middle row can be adjusted for extra leg room.

When the back row seats are down, there is a lot of space in the boot. It is also wide and long so it can store larger and bulky items. This vehicle is ideal for a camping trip or other journeys where you might need to carry equipment. When all 7 seats are up, there is approximately 130L of space, 450L with 5 seats and a massive 750L with 4 seats up (in both back rows, individual seats can be put up and down. With all back seats down, it is reported that you can have up to 1520L of storage space.

This Nissan 7 seater is slightly longer than the 5 seater model but as previously stated, there is not enough space for anyone other than children to sit in them. Unfortunately, this back row is a little difficult to climb into for adults too, even with the middle seats put all the way forward. The front row seats have a lot of head room which makes for easy access. The back doors are extra wide to allow access to those back seats. Plenty of room in both front rows means that the vehicle is a comfortable ride.

Of the two models (see below) only the 360 has rear view parking camera system as standard. It allows you to have a bird’s eye view while parking. Both are 1645mm in height, 4541mm in length and 1780mm wide. The bulky nature of the vehicle has maximised viewing through the windows. Review sites have commented passengers in the back seats can have a good view of the landscape. However, there are some complaints that the rear windscreen is a little too small.

The Nissan Qashqai +2 7 seater is available in two variations. These are the ACENTA and the 360. The 360 has a larger wheel base, sat nav and a number of other specific upgrades to make the driving experience more pleasurable and a luxurious. Both are 16.L and 16v. The 360 is also available in diesel for those with a view for fuel efficiency.

Tests on both models of this Nissan 7 seater shows that the fuel emissions are around 154g/km. Fuel consumption is as follows: 42.8mpg (combined), 50.4mpg (extra urban) and 34mpg (urban).

Safety of Nissan Qashqai+2

As with most 7 seater cars, this has 6 airbags. Both models have ABS as standard, Brake Assistant, EBD and traction control. The five seater model, which only differs in being slightly smaller, was said to have performed superbly in crash tests recording the highest possible score for adult protection. There are dedicated fittings for child seats to make it easier to remove and install the devices.
