The Hyundai Sante Fe 7 seater car has ample leg and head room in the front two rows. The back row is one of the better examples in the class and can fit full grown adults; however it will not always be a comfortable ride. Taller adults might find that they are not particularly comfortable – but then typically they would never get into the back row anyway. Average to smaller adults and children will have no problem here.
As with most other 7 seater cars, the two back row seats can be flattened to increase storage space. With the back row flattened, there is a fairly average 516L of storage space, enough for a couple of buggies and a few items of luggage. With both back rows down, that increases to 1615L. This is fairly average but for the size of the car you might have expected a little more. It should be enough space to fit in a couple of buggies and plenty of luggage/camping equipment for those longer trips. There is a reported 48L of extra space in the floor in the form of “secret” compartments.
7 seater cars vary quite a lot; some are easier to get into than others. This model is particularly large and bulky so getting in and out will not be too difficult. Because of its size, it perhaps suffers for not having sliding doors – something it really could have done with. The back seats shouldn’t be too problematic to get in and out though.
The Hyundai Santa Fe 7 seater is 4690mm in length, 1880mm wide and 1675mm high. Parking sensors come with all model variations. Both “Premium” models have rear parking camera with a touch screen aid as well as a Smart Parking Assistant, a system by which you can automatically parallel park.
Tests on the model have demonstrated the following mpg rates: Urban are as follows: 38.2 (Style), 37.7 (Premium) and 31.7 (Premium SE). The extra-urban rates are 56.5, 54.3 and 51.4 respectively. Combined rates are 47.9, 46.3 and 41.5. These are impressive figures for 7 seater cars with an engine of this size. Emissions are 155, 159 and 178 g/km respectively.
